If you will allow me an addendum to the previous post….
I wasn’t disappointed, just taken aback for a moment. I’m no angel, but it’s not as if I had a master plan to talk the young lady out of her underwear either – it was just quite unusual to get on so very well, and talk so freely with a person you’d just met?
My gay friends are, on the whole, far friendlier, more open, interesting and generally more sensitive than any person I’ve ever been accused of being.
So I’m going to regard it as a compliment!

Perhaps she wanted to 'turn' you? Might have thought you were a challenge?
I've received that compliment many times, although it's usually from another guy. I've actually been approached by men at strip clubs. What gay men go to strip clubs? Note - I should add the clubs had all female dancers.
How do you send out a non-gay vibe? "Look, everyone. Does everybody see how many blowjobs I'm not giving?"
The majority of the people I work with are either gay or lesbians and I agree with you, "they are far friendlier, more open, interesting and more sensitive."
Judging by her comment, you made her feel comfortable, and didn't behave like a predator. Sadly, when men treat us well like that, we ASSUME they're gay, because the straight ones treat us like objects. I can't believe you didn't tell her she was mistaken!
Good call, Sandra. Very good point. Yes, Col, take it as a compliment.
You could always wear white polished shoes with everything. Then they'd def. know you weren't gay. ;)
I bet Sandra is right. You don't give off that predatory vibe. A real compliment. From my very American perspective, I wish there were more str8 guys like you.
~S :)
Yep I am so with Sandra on this! & Toffee's such a sweetheart!
Good for you, Fish, how could it be anything other than a compliment :)
Sandra's got it all said.
Shephard!! White polished shoes! You kill me! With checkered pants? I wish more str8 guys were like you too Colin!
Baby I believe you got your mojo back. You had me with the last line: "My gay friends are, on the whole, far friendlier, more open, interesting and generally more sensitive than any person I’ve ever been accused of being.
So I’m going to regard it as a compliment!" Me too! Me too!

RE: Previous post - I'll admit, I laughed out loud when I read the ending. Poor Fishy - but yes, definitely take it as a compliment!
