business as usual

It's been an odd day. Apropos of absolutely nothing, my...the love of my life...called me and all of my internal organs went flippety flop, climbing over each other to reach a high point in my chest. "How are the boys" she said, "argle-bargle-morble-whoosh" I said.

Tonight I went back, to the pub, and played with my friends. 'She' was there, and nothing whatsoever happened, I was just a big hole in the room where a person should have been. It's a lucky escape I suppose, for one of us at least.

Why the f#ck I'm writing this tripe I'll never know....

  2. Sorry, my first comment seemed too odd. I hope you're having a nice evening.

  3. Her overt flirtatiousness last week was a thing of mystery to me, as I don't have that 'skill'. But for her to treat you as invisible the next week is even more baffling. Maybe she's a little insane and best avoided.

  4. By the way, I'm dangerously close to booking a trip in May. I'm going to be having dog withdrawal pains so you HAVE to let me walk the boys. Have to.

How odd about the pub girl. I did post a comment yesterday but it isn't here today!

I said that you were the one with the lucky escape - she's missing out on a damn fine catch (what a pun!!!)

  9. Hmmm.. females are a puzzling aren't we? Can't figure that one out. Are you going back next week? Maybe she's only flirtatious every other week hmmm? Seriously I hope your week-end wasn't all that bad.

  10. I'm not sure what to say. My blogpals are always giving me advice to go for it when I see an attractive woman, but it's always in the case of married women with whom I have a professional relationship (my dentist and Japanese language teacher, for instance). So I don't take their advice either, but at least I have better built-in excuses. :p

Sandra's pretty. Go for it, dude.

  11. What's up with her??? Hot one minute, cold the next???

Split personality perhaps??? Maybe you're better off without that, huh?

    Eh, her loss anyway...most definitely!!!
